“If one man can destroy everything, why can't one girl change it?”
― Malala Yousafzai, I Am Malala: The Story of the Girl Who Stood Up for Education and the Taliban.
Diving Deeper

I am an Afro-Latina, first generation college student and first generation American. My upbringing deeply shapes how I see the world and the work I do.
As the daughter of immigrants, this perspective grounds my commitment to access, accountability, and building systems that serve people who have historically been excluded from decision making spaces.
To balance the analytical demands of my professional life, I make room for creativity. I enjoy reading, writing poetry, going to the movies, and finding inspiration for my creative work in museums and art galleries.
Lately, I have been experimenting with new food recipes and often express care for friends by cooking them meals, or exploring new and exciting things happening around Los Angeles. Some days, I am happiest at home with my cat Taco. Other times, I am researching ethical uses of AI and public policy.
I am always looking for ways to reinvent myself and the world around me, driven by a passion for learning, teaching, and sharing resources with others. I value creativity, authenticity, community, thinking outside the box, and building non judgmental spaces.
